Start Off with a Roar

On most mornings, my alarm goes off at 6:08 am and I lay in bed for about 10 minutes thinking about my outfit today. By the time I 6:18 am rolls around, I am ready to hop in the shower and start my day. Today it was dark and cold and the last thing I wanted to do was to wake up. As I got in the shower, I still had no idea what I was going to wear. All I knew was that it was definitely a tights day. I was eager to try out my new belt that I picked up that weekend. Overall, I am happy with this last minute outfit choice.

Funny story about these boots. I bought them last year at Forever 21 for some amazing steal. I wanted them sooo bad even though they did not have my size I still bought them...a size an a half too big. On a good day, my foot measures in at a size 6. These boots are a size 7 1/2. For that reason, I can only wear these boots in small doses.

Another note about shoe size... My foot was officially measured when I went to buy new ski boots and it measure a 5 1/2. WHAT!?! Who has feet that small!? And since ski boots you buy a size smaller, my boots look like midget boots.

In honor of this upcoming ski season, I painted my nails China Glaze "Black Diamond" from their Ski Collection a few years ago. I can not tell you how excited I am for ski season! Bring on the mountain men!!

  1. brag about your foot size why don't you!!

signed, your size 8 1/2 (sometimes 9) footed friend

PS- do you usually pick your outfit the night before and this was just a unique day? I can never pick the night before though it would definitely save me some time in the morning. What do you do?

  2. I usually try to visualize my outfit the night before. After I hear the weather, I start planning in my head. On the weekends, I play dress up and try out new looks and new outfits and new combinations. I hope that helps answer your questions.

  3. I am really impressed with this outfit, especially for just throwing it together - I LOOOVE the sweater!

I like this planning that you do to try and make outfits . . . I am trying to do "project upgrade" and may actually take the time to make some outfits on the weekend.

    Great suggestion!
